Born in Kent, into the house of Jemima Lauren and Samuel D. Laine, Emma is the only child. Both parents magical by birth, her heritage is mixed and not so <i>pure</i> as some would hope. She recieved her letter at the age of 11. The thing about Emma is that she doesn't, nor has ever lived a dramatic life style. She has always been quiet and conservative and barely ever letting her hair down unless she is among friends. She matches the "All Rounded Student" wonderfully and takes part in bettering herself, which is something she learned early on in childhood. She takes after her father especially and adores her mother.

Emma is outgoing and it shows through her posture. She has a defiant march, as well as a gentle hand. She is petite, slim built and has never been an advantage on the pitch. She Has long dark hair, and matching dark eyes. She has a "button nose" (as Jemima would say) and a dainty figure. When she is not in her school robes, she usually dons a casual top (normally without sleeves) and either fitted pants or a skirt.

Emma has never been one to hold her tongue. She is a dramatic at heart and can go over the edge at times. She insists on her way, and falters at the sight of compromisation. She enjoys peace and quiet from time to time, but she loves to keep on the move. She always needs to be busy. If she's not doing something -- be it seeing friends, doing schoolwork, attending classes or watching quidditch games -- she's sleeping.
